Today we met a customer who needed to consult how to choose a chlorinated water pump

He provided the following information and specific requirements:


Media: Chlorinated water

Total suspended solids: 4.4mg/L

Total dissolved solids: 7289mg/L

Chlorine content: 2969mg/L

Hydrogen energy: 6.4ph

Relative density (at 20C): 1.04477

Flow range: 5500 BWPD

Pressure: 750psi

Temperature: 100-130 degrees Fahrenheit

Viscosity: 0.58 to 0.77 cP

Pressure: 0.94/2.2 psi

The motor nameplate rating shall be at least 110% of the pump rated power.

2) The pump shall have a continuous head rise from the rated point to the shut-off point with the head rise not less

 than 10% of the rated head.

3) The capacity at the end of the curve shall not be less than 120% of the rated capacity

4) The minimum continuous stable capacity shall not exceed 50% of the rated capacity.

5) The preferred working area of the pump should be 70% to 120% of the best efficiency flow of the provided pump.
