Fluorine-lined Magnetic Drive Pump for Aqueous Media


Regarding the customer's requirements for aqueous (non-particulate) media, ambient temperature, 10-meter head, fluoropolymer lining, 

and variable frequency motor, and based on the technical staff's recommendation of the IMC series fluoropolymer-lined magnetic drive pump, 

the following is an analysis and recommendation for selection:


I. Selection Rationality Analysis

IMC25-20-100F/1.5

Flow range: 1.5-2 m³/h (meets requirements)

Head: 10 meters (meets requirements)

Power: 1.5kW (standard motor; if variable frequency is required, motor compatibility needs to be confirmed)

Material: HT200 (pump body) + F46 (fluoropolymer lining), good corrosion resistance, suitable for aqueous media.


Recommendation: If the customer specifically requires a variable frequency motor, it needs to be replaced with a dedicated variable

 frequency motor (such as IMC25-20-100FV; power may need adjustment). IMC40-25-125F/2.2 Flow range: 6.7-9 m³/h (Meets requirements)

Head: 10 meters (Meets requirements)

Power: 2.2kW (Standard motor, frequency converter compatibility needs confirmation)

Material: HT200/F46, reliable corrosion resistance.


Recommendation: Same as above, frequency converter motor needs to be configured separately.



IMC50-32-125F/2.2 Flow range: 12-16 m³/h (Meets requirements)

Head: 10 meters (Meets requirements)

Power: 2.2kW (Standard motor, frequency converter compatibility needs confirmation)

Material: HT200/F46, good corrosion resistance.


Recommendation: Frequency converter motor needs to be configured separately.



II. Frequency Converter Motor Compatibility Recommendations

Original Model Issue: The models recommended by technicians are all standard motors. If frequency converter functionality is required, 

a dedicated frequency converter motor must be selected.


Power Adjustment: The power output of a variable frequency motor may be affected by its speed range. It is necessary to confirm whether

 power adjustment is required based on the actual operating conditions (e.g., the IMC50-32-125F may need to be upgraded to a 3kW 

variable frequency motor).


Control Method: Confirm whether the customer requires a matching variable frequency drive (e.g., built-in or external) and the control 

protocol (e.g., Modbus, Profibus, etc.).


III. Optimized Selection Scheme


Based on customer needs, the following variable frequency fluoropolymer-lined magnetic drive pump models are recommended 

(adjusted based on the IMC series):

IV. Key Considerations


Media Compatibility: F46 fluoropolymer-lined pumps are suitable for most aqueous media, but it is necessary to confirm whether 

they contain strong oxidants (such as concentrated nitric acid or concentrated sulfuric acid). If so, PFA or PTFE material should be 

used instead.


Temperature Range: F46 performs stably under normal temperature conditions. If the medium temperature approaches 100℃, a 

high-temperature fluoropolymer-lined material must be used.


Inlet Pressure: Confirm that the system inlet pressure is within the pump's allowable range (usually ≤0.3MPa) to avoid cavitation.


Installation Method: Magnetic pumps must be installed horizontally to avoid magnetic drive failure due to vertical installation.
