Vortex flowmeters are mainly used for flow measurement of medium fluids in industrial pipelines,
such as gas, liquid, steam and other media. It is characterized by small pressure loss, large measuring
range and high precision. When measuring volume flow under operating conditions, it is virtually
unaffected by parameters such as fluid density, pressure and temperature. There are no moving
mechanical parts, so reliability and maintenance costs are low. Instrument parameters can be
long-term stable. The instrument adopts piezoelectric stress sensor, which is reliable and can work
in the working temperature range of -25℃~320℃. There are analog standard signal and digital
pulse signal output, which is convenient to use with computer digital system. It is a relatively
advanced and ideal flowmeter.
1) The vortex flow meter is not suitable to be installed in the occasion of strong vibration, but in the
occasion of frequent changes of the magnetic field, the vortex flowmeter will measure the signal
output of the normal value, which is the common sense of the user. Practice has proved that in the
field without airflow , when the vortex flow sensor is in a changing magnetic field, the vortex flow
sensor will sense an error signal and output at the moment when the magnetic field changes. After
the change is over, the meter is in a steady state. When there is a magnetic field, the meter will
output a normal signal.
2) Due to the high temperature and high humidity of coke oven gas when it leaves the factory,
there will be moisture in the gas during transportation. The airflow moves the water back and forth,
creating a pulsating flow. When the vortex flow sensor is in this fluid state, the output data
fluctuates greatly, and the fluctuation is large, which cannot reflect the production state at all.
3) Because the coke oven gas has many impurities, it is easy to crystallize, and the impurities
condense on the sensing head, resulting in inaccurate measurement. As the temperature increases,
the impurities volatilize, the sensitivity increases, and the signal increases; on the contrary, it
decreases. This can lead to data instability.
4) The pressure line is not firm during the instrument wiring process, resulting in intermittent
signals during the transmission process.
5) The ground wire of the instrument does not meet the specification requirements, so that the
50Hz interference in the strong current enters, and the normal signal is output when the normal
signal is 50Hz, otherwise the error signal is output.
