Iron-Nickel Aqueous Solution Chemical Pump


For selecting a chemical pump to transport 10% sulfuric acid (iron-nickel aqueous solution), considering process parameters and material

 requirements, the CQB150-125-400FA magnetically driven centrifugal pump is a suitable technical solution. The specific analysis is as follows:



I. Core Process Parameter Matching

* Flow Rate and Head

* The model's flow rate is 200 m³/h, meeting the requirement of ≥150 m³/h, with a margin to accommodate future flow rate fluctuations.

* **Sealing Shell:** ETFE + aramid fiber reinforcement, balancing corrosion resistance and mechanical strength.


O-rings: FEP (Fluoroethylene-propylene copolymer) + FKM (Fluororubber), double sealing ensures no leakage.


Shell Material: FC200 (cast iron) lined with ETFE, high structural strength and controllable cost, suitable for non-corrosive external

 environments.


III. Structural Advantages and Operational Reliability: Magnetic drive design; Seal-free structure completely eliminates leakage risk, 

especially suitable for conveying toxic or valuable media (such as nickel-containing solutions).


Isolation sleeve uses ETFE, with high pressure resistance, capable of withstanding system pressure fluctuations.


Variable Frequency Motor Compatibility: The 75kW-4P variable frequency motor supports flow regulation to adapt to process

 changes (such as reducing speed to maintain power balance when specific gravity increases).


Power Supply Parameters (AC380V 50Hz 3PH) comply with domestic industrial standards, requiring no additional transformer.


Maintenance Convenience: Modular design; impellers, bushings, and other vulnerable parts can be replaced individually, reducing

 downtime maintenance costs.


Wuxi carbide components have long lifespan, reducing the need for frequent replacements.


IV. Potential Risks and Improvement Suggestions

* **Specific Gravity Exceedance Risk:** If the solution specific gravity consistently exceeds 1.3, the pump's pressure resistance needs 

to be assessed. It is recommended to consult with the supplier to upgrade materials (e.g., all-silicon carbide flow components) or 

increase motor power.

* **Solid Particle Impact:** If the solution contains trace amounts of iron-nickel particles, the particle size must be confirmed 

(generally <0.2mm).


While silicon carbide bushings have strong wear resistance, large particles may accelerate wear. Adding a pre-filter is recommended.

* **Temperature Fluctuation Management:** If the temperature approaches the 100℃ upper limit, ensure the cooling system (e.g., pump body

 heat sink) is effective to prevent demagnetization of the magnetic drive components due to overheating.
